Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to Gilbert Junior High School Physical Education and the 2016-2017 school year. We have a great program and feel that all students can benefit from physical education.
We provide a variety of activities to improve our student’s skills and physical fitness. Another goal is to instill the desire for lifelong activity and recreation.
Our hope is for all students to enjoy their physical education experience and earn an “A” grade. Students are graded on dressing out, being on time, and participating to the best of their ability.
I look forward to spending the year with your child. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to e-mail or call me at 480-892-6908, extension 2518.
This is my 33rd year teaching physical education. My career began at Pioneer Elementary where I taught five years. I have been at Gilbert Junior High School since then. In addition to teaching I coach cross country running.
I attended college and played baseball at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. I also attended one year at Phoenix College. I received my bachelors and master's degree in education, with emphasis in physical education from Arizona State University.
I am a 4th generation Arizona native. I served in the Arizona Air National Guard for four years. I am married with two children. My hobbies are family history and log homes.
